This week we will learn a little about weather and the children will experiment with a rain gauge. We will learn how rain and sunshine are helpful in growing beautiful flowers. The children have fun making an upside-down picture, counting to 10 and learning the relationship between a honeybee and flowers.

☀ WEEK TWO: EASTER PARADE

• Day 1: Easter Eggs
• Day 2: Letter Vv
• Day 3: My Easter Basket
• Day 4: Color Purple
• Day 5: The Easter Parade

We celebrate Easter on April 11th. We will have lots of fun with our Easter theme During the week the children have fun making a woven Easter with paper eggs. Learning all about the many shades of Purple and ending our week with an Easter Parade.

☀ WEEK THREE: SENT-SATIONAL SPRING

• Day 1: Mr. Sunshine
• Day 2: Spring Treasures (Earth Day)
• Day 3: Letter Ww
• Day 4: Sent-sational Flowers
• Day 5: Shape Diamond

This week we welcome in Spring and discover Flowers! We will celebrate Earth Day and make our own collection box of things from nature. We study the letter W and learn how we grow a flower from a seed. We will learn that some flowers smell really nice.

☀ WEEK FOUR: DOWN ON THE FARM

• Day 1: Ole’ McDonald’s farm
• Day 2: Review Letters U-V-W and Number 10
• Day 3: Animal Families
• Day 4: Field Day
• Day 5: The Funny Farm

Children will learn how important the role of Farmer is and what he does on a farm that helps people all over. This week we will talk about farm animals, we’ll have a hoe down on the farm and make our own farm booklets. We also will get to play in our own mud and make a Mud book. We review the letter U-V-W and the number 10.

APRIL CONCEPTS TAUGHT:

• Shape Diamond.
• Color Purple.
• The community helper is the Farmer.
• Our fire drill is scheduled for Week One..
